What is Chiropractic

The word "chiro" comes from the Greek language, which means "done by hand". It is usually used for the treatment of spinal or back disorders.

A chiropractic appointment will involve a thorough history and examination of your whole spine regardless of where you feel the problem.

it will then be followed by a high quality treatment which may include: massage, stretches, mobilisations, manipulations, activator, drop table, dry needling, cupping.

Chiropractic can be used for the treatment of:

  • Neck Pain

  • Headaches

  • Shoulder Pain

  • Mid Back Pain

  • Low Back Pain

  • Hip Pain

What is the "crack"?

The "crack"  that is heard during a chiropractic adjustment comes from a controlled high speed movement which is applied to the joint. This is done to help reduce pain and improve range of motion. The actual noise comes from the release of air bubbles in the joint. The thorough assessment will be performed beforehand to ensure that you will benefit from this technique. If you do not want to have this particular technique done, there are many other low force techniques which can be used instead.
